3 days until Christmas!

I'm so excited. But not as excited as I feel I should be.Why is this? Is it because I'm getting older? I hope not; my friend has a theory that excitement about Christmas decreases with age, and by the time we are 25 we won't feel a thing. However, after discussing this with her, we came to the conclusion that excitement about Christmas must be inversely propotional to physical growth, and therefore the decrease in said excitement will cease at the age of 18. This way, we retain some excitement towards the Christmas holidays no matter our age. That's something.
Another theory of mine is that we have a resurgance of Christmas excitement when we have young kids of our own. I'll get back to you on that one in about 20 years time.
Anyway. It's the Christmas holidays and that means no more mocks! Now we only have the real thing to worry about.
Still, I'm not about to let GCSEs ruin my Christmas. I'm supposed to be doing a french writing assessment and a music composition over the holidays, but I highly doubt that's going to happen. I'm being realisitic here -  how can they expect us to work when we are surrounded by chocolates, presents and good telly?
Speaking of good telly, the Christmas edition of the Radio Times is out! That's two weeks of TV all rolled into one, incredibly heavy, magazine. It makes me so happy just to look at it. I haven't even read it properly yet. But I have picked out some things I am DEFINATELY going to watch, no matter how much work there is to be done. The Doctor Who special is top of the list, of course, closely followed by the remake of Upstairs Downstairs and Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient Express. There's a lot more but I can't be bothered to write them all down.
On a slight tangent, Spirited Away was on yesterday, which is one of my favourite films. It was on BBC 2, which was even better considering it wasn't interrupted by ad breaks every 5 minutes.
I'm going to go now and see if I can find any more presents with my name on and guess what they are. Maybe that will make me feel more Christmassy. If all else fails, I have The Grinch on dvd.

  1. George. I start my comment with my usual.
    I love you.

And anyway. Yeah I'm thinking about watching Upstairs Downstairs but you know...I'm not sure. It looks like the BBC have got annoyed at Downton Abbey (BATES. WILLIAM. THOMAS...urgh) which I miss, and done their own thing. And Dr Who. mmm. But David isn't in it :(
Nor Colin. Yeah. We're on first name terms now.

  2. Ahh, good old Colin. I knew he'd be making a reappearance. Speaking of Colin, have you heard of that film he's in? It's called The King's Speech I think. I'd quite like to see it...
And yeah, my mum used to watch Upstairs Downstairs as a kid, and apparently it's been planned for 3 years or something so it wasn't made just because they were angry at Downton. But I miss Downton. I even miss Thomas.
    ...No that's a lie. I don't miss Thomas.

    DR WHO LOOKS AMAZING.
